Roles & Responsibilities

As a volunteer, you will not only be exposed to an excellent network of judges, sponsors and international colleagues, but you will also have the opportunity to be an ambassador for the John Molson School of Business, and more specifically our Undergraduate Program.

You will be able to help out during the competition by becoming either: (1) a Team Ambassador, or (2) a Presentation Room Coordinator. The responsibilities involved in these different functions can be broken down as follows:

Team Ambassadors

Each university will be assigned a team ambassador. Responsibilities include: accompanying the assigned team to their preparation rooms and presentation rooms, maintaining the rules of the competition during the preparation period, being available during their preparations should they have any requests and providing time-limit notifications.

Presentation Room Coordinator

As the Presentation Room Coordinator you will have 2 main responsibilities: 1- coordinate the judges, 2- presentation time keeper

Judge Coordinator

Your responsibilities include: guiding the judges to the appropriate presentation rooms, as well as being the liaison between the judges and the organizing committee. You will be responsible for collecting the evaluation forms after each presentation. In addition, you will ensure that the presentations commence according to schedule - in order to avoid any potential delays.

Time-Keeper

Your responsibilities include the following: introducing the judges, explaining the rules, as well as being the presentation time-keeper. After each presentation, you will kindly ask the audience members to exit the room so that the judges can deliberate amongst themselves. Each time-keeper will be assigned to one division of four universities (for a total of four presentations per day).
